WORLD CLASS RIVERFRONT RUSTIC HOME

Three Bedroom, Two Bath, Two Futon Couches, Large Screen TV/DVD, Monitor heat, Jacuzzi, sleeps 8 with comfort, but priced for 4.

Sacred Springs is a the only vacation rental home in California located on 4 private acres spanning 600 yards of river frontage on the famous Upper Sacramento River in Dunsmuir, California. Sacred Springs has had a state of art remodel job from top to bottom. This riverfront home has all the modern amenities of being right at your home, and has still kept the original rustic feel. It is arguably set in one of the most picturesque places in California and the home of the “best water on earth!”

Queen Bed is in the downstairs bedroom and the living room has a King Futon Couch. Upstairs has a bedroom with a Queen Bed and private deck, a common area with a small Futon Couch and second bathroom, and a third bedroom with Twin Beds. The BBQ area is on the riverbank, and the deck actually hangs over the river with the Hot Tub secluded but looking over the river. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is TV, Phone, and Internet. The whole cabin is rustic with wood walls.

The protected waters on the property offer some of the best fly-fishing and the river is open year round. Your section of the river is abundant with rare native Wild Rainbow Trout, attracting anglers from all over the globe. The fishing can be world class. If you’re lucky, you can even hook up right off the deck! The McCloud River, conveniently located 20 minutes Northeast also offers some of the greatest fishing on the West coast.

Located at an elevation of 2400 feet it does snow on occasion at Sacred Springs during the beautiful winter months. That is good news as the snow levels are usually just enough to make it frosty white, wonderful and easy to navigate. If downhill/cross country skiing, sledding, ice-skating and snowboarding is your desire, Sacred Springs is merely 12 miles from the ski lifts at the base of Mount Shasta, which summits at just about 16171 feet tall!

While you enjoy the complete privacy Sacred Springs offers, you’ll be amazed to discover it is just a short 10 minute-walk to Historical Downtown Dunsmuir. There are a handful of great restaurants, coffee houses, a lively jazz / nightclub, and the legendary Ted Fay Fly Shop. Take a real swim in the Dunsmuir Olympic Pool or join us at the Cave Springs pool (heated), go enjoy the beautiful Dunsmuir Riverfront Botanical Gardens City Park, visit the River Exchange, a local wildlife and river museum & information center and do shop the unique stores.

Hike the amazing Castle Crags, walk up river 15 minutes to Moss Brae Falls, rent kayaks or paddleboats on nearby Lake Siskiyou, or take a short drive to enjoy Castle Lake, Lake Shasta and McCloud River. Like to golf? Let Mount Shasta be your tee-off backdrop each hole. There are some wonderful courses and all sports & recreational activities are ether free or very reasonably priced and at a fraction of what you would spend at Lake Tahoe. For all you Shakespeare lovers, drive approximately 1-hour North to the Oregon border and enjoy the Elizabethan town of Ashland, Oregon: the renowned home of the Shakespeare Festival.

Many people refer to the area as “God’s Country”. Come find out why.

Enjoy!
